Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)

Why a Will and an LPA aren’t “nice to have” — they’re essential

A simple way to protect your family’s future

It’s easy to put off making a Will or setting up a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). Life is busy, and these are things we all hope we won’t need for a long time.

But putting them in place now is one of the kindest, most reassuring things you can do for yourself and the people you love. It means your wishes are clear, your family is protected, and decisions can be made smoothly if the unexpected ever happens.

At YourLPA Partner, we make it straightforward with a service that’s personal, trusted and online.

Your Will: clarity and reassurance for the people you love

A Will helps ensure that, when the time comes, your estate is handled the way you intend.

A properly prepared Will can:

  • Make clear who inherits your money, property and personal belongings
  • Appoint the people you trust as executors
  • Reduce stress, delays and uncertainty for your family

Without a Will, intestacy rules decide what happens instead — which can lead to outcomes that don’t match your wishes, particularly for unmarried couples, blended families, or anyone who wants to leave specific gifts.

Will Creation Service

  • Standard Will preparation and documentation (per person): £100

Your LPA: essential protection while you’re still here

A Will protects what happens after you die. An LPA protects you while you’re alive.

If you were ever unwell, injured, or unable to make decisions (even temporarily), your spouse/partner or children don’t automatically have the legal right to step in and manage things on your behalf.

An LPA helps your chosen people (your attorneys) support you with:

  • Banking, bills, pensions and finances
  • Property-related decisions
  • Health and care decisions (where applicable)

Without an LPA, families can be forced into a Court of Protection application — often a stressful process at exactly the wrong time.
